One of the most common questions I hear from salespeople everywhere is "how can I make more money?" It's a concern shared by most business owners and salespeople.

You'll notice I said most salespeople, but certainly not all. There is a small elite group whose earnings go up every year despite anything the economy throws at them.

If you're one of these top sales performers then you know exactly what I'm talking about. But if you're not and would like to be, then I have something I think you'll be very interested in.

Here's the thing. You may not even realize you are in sales, but you'd be surprised to learn that whatever your job or business is there is some selling involved.

Consider this if you will: If you've ever applied for a job, been married, went out on a date, raised your kids, started a business, had a garage sale, waited on tables or done any of a thousand other things?you were involved in sales.

It's an unavoidable fact of life. To get what you want in life you either have to sell yourself (in the case of a job or a date etc.) or you have to sell a product or service.

Since you'll spend most of your life selling one thing or another, why not discover how to make the process easier on yourself.

Widgets are a wonderful way to market your product or brand.  Ideally, your widget should have the easy functionality of a user adding it to their facebook, Twitter, Blogger or any other web page they control.  Once you have your widget built, you can add this user friendly functionality by setting up a free account with ClearSpring.

The widget below, EMERSON QUOTES, was built to give users the opportunity to have the content of random quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson.  At the same time, the widget modestly promotes the web site LogicalMeaning.com which is the official web site for the forthcoming book THE LOGICAL MEANING OF GOD.  This widget is a classic example of utilizing the viral power of the Internet.

Everyone's a Salesperson

I often ask my seminar attendees, "How many people here are in sales?" It's interesting to watch how people respond to that question. There are always a few people who will raise a hand at first, and then another hand goes up, and then another, and soon perhaps half the people in the room have a hand up, even though they may be in fields such as management, administration, finance and accounting.

Don Quixote's Post Humous Virtual Expedition - Filling The Black Holes In Cyber Space PDF Print E-mail

Perhaps the online community today is not so different from Don Quixote chasing after windmills, mistaking them for giants. Excessive web browsing might yield more or less similar symptoms of lunacy as those displayed in Quixote's mad adventures.

If the web were to appoint godfathers, Michael Saavedra Cervantes, Don Quixote's inventor, would be a very appropriate candidate. Already the founding father of European literature, his one and only book's structure is not too dissimilar to the myriad of modern cyber texts.
